Dr. K. Naga Sujatha is Professor of EEE and presently working as Coordinator, Academic Planning, JNTU Hyderabad. She graduated in Electrical Engineering from OU College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad and then did her masters in Power Electronics from JNTU College of Engineering, JNTU Hyderabad subsequently completed her Ph.D from AU College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on “Optimized Operation and Control of Systems with Static & Dynamic Models of Induction Motor”. She is acting as University nodal officer to TSCHE-MHRD-AISHE, and Coordinator for Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay.
Her research interests include Power Electronics, PE Control of A.C & D.C drives, Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing Methods. Her research work published in many International/National Journals and publications at International/National Conferences such as IEEE PESGM, InderScience Publishers, etc. She has published Thirty articles in International/ National Journals and Twenty Five papers in International/ National Conferences. She visited Nanyang Technological University, Singapore to present the research paper in the year 2016.
She has been teaching under graduates and post-graduate students and successfully handled many subjects of Electrical Engineering. Few of them are Electromagnetic Field Theory, Power Electronics, Power Semi Conductor Drives, Power Electronic Control of AC&DC Drives, Electrical Measurements, Digital Signal Processing, Micro Processors & Micro Controllers, and Fuzzy logic& Neural Networks etc.
She received “Out Standing Scientist “award in 2015, and “Senior Women Educator and Scholar” award in March 2017. She has been acting as reviewer and Editorial Member for several International/National Journals. She is a member of IEEE and also holds the lifetime membership of ISTE. She has actively acted as convenor, co-convenor and chaired about 30 International and National Technical Events.
She worked with the AICTE as an Expert Committee Member. She attended MHRD-AISHE National workshop at New-Delhi, on January 2017. She holds the Fact Finding Committee (FFC) Convenor & Member position with JNTUH, Hyderabad and member of various committees at College and University Level. She is a special invitee to deliver her technical expertise at various colleges.
She has a keen interest in women empowerment and she heads one such association ‘WAVE- Welfare Association of Women Employees, JNTUHCEJ’. She works towards development of community, to her credit she has also delivered lectures at various seminars and workshops related to women empowerment in association with various organisations. Her passion includes motivating, mentoring and facilitating students to perform their best.
Served as Head of the Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering at JNTUHCEJ, Jagityal for a period of two years.
