Dr.Mukkanti is a Professor of Chemistry and present Director of Institute of Science & Technology, JNTUH, Hyderabad. He has 25 years of teaching and 32 years of Research Experience.He has published 200 research papers in National and International journals covering the fields of environmental chemistry waste water treatment, solid waste managemnt, organic synthesis, metal complexes studies.
As a Teacher, Prof Mukkanti is a man with outstanding caliber in guiding many students wit their academics and their research projects particulary in the fields of desigining the organic molecules and applications of novel catalysts.His contributions to the fields of environmental chemsitry, the invited lecturers delivered at coveted Universities are outstanding. He wae head, Center for Environment during the period 2006 - 2008 and was head, Center for Pharmaceutical Sciences during the period 2008 - 2010.He also the present head of the Center for Chemical Sciences and Technology, IST. He has Organised several national and international seminars, refresher courses, faculty Development programmes in association with executive development programmes in association with several professional bodies and corporate such as A.P Pollution control board etc.
