Dr.A.Ramakrishna Prasad is the first Director of the University Industry Interaction Cell of JNT University Hyderabad, taken charge on August 2nd , 2010.Prof.Prasad is an M.Tech (1992) in Computer Science and Data Processing from one of the most prestigious premier institutions, IIT Khargapur. Subsequently, in 1995, he obtained PhD in Mathematics from SK University, Anantapur. He also obtained M.B.A in Human Resource Management from JNTUH, in 2009. He is also a life member of ISTE, CSI, NHRDN, IETE and Neuro-Linguistic Program Practitioners Club Florida (USA). |

Having a passion for teaching he made a modest beginning as a Faculty In the Department of Mathematics in 1980 and has been serving the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in various capacities since then. He has a vast teaching and research experience of over three decades. |

He played a pioneering role in elevating the image of the university during his stint (2004-2008) as the Professor-in-Charge of Training and Placement for United Jawaharlal Technological University, Hyderabad..He was instrumentalin developing a healthy rapport with the industry and in helping the students in their career search to cite a few; he was the co-coordinator for the BHEL-JNTU project and business associate for Wipro.Besides vast experience in teaching, he is an able administrator and has held several key positions.He has published qualitative research papers in reputed journals. He is in the expert panel for many academic bodies like IGNOU and BROAU. He has been actively involved in efficient organisation of numerous seminars workshops and orientation programs. In collaboration with Honeywell, he successfully organised Noble Laureates visits to JNTUH University. After taking over a Head, Department of Mathematics at JNTUHCE, an exclusive website of the department was launched. To update the scholars and teachers of Mathematics, the department also started a newsletter. Sensitive to the needs and innovative trends in the academic arena, he continues to put in solemn efforts to make teaching as well as learning a meaningful and productive experience.Prof.Prasads areas of interest are Business Intelligence, Multidiscipline Optimization, Software Engineering and Social Networks,Predictive Analytics

Training and Placement cell conducted a unique first of its kind Certified Soft Skills Train the Trainer Programit is a six week program which includes four weeks of Course work and two weeks internship with the aim to build a rich resource pool of Soft skills Trainers. Totally 30 participants were trained. All these soft skills trainers have visited 22 Engineering colleges to impart the skills they have learnt during this training program to the outgoing students from the JNTU affiliated Colleges to increase the quality and employability |

Designed a capability maturity model to assess the capability of students and named as Student Capability Maturity Model(SCMM) for students. This model will measure the capability of the students on various competencies in turn it will measure the capability of Engineering Institute |

For helping the placements of the JNTU affiliated Engineering College Students, Training and Placement Cell initiated a program called Campus Recruitment Drive (CRD) through which the University will provide continues updates on industry requirements, assess the students of JNTU affiliated colleges on the required skills an d train them through e-learning portal and organizes On campus and Off Campus placements. |
