Dr. L. Pratap Reddy the Director, Research & Development Cell of the University. He obtained his B.E. (Electronics and Communication Engineering) from Andhra University and M.Tech from Kakatiya University, and Ph.D. from JNT University Hyderabad. He served as Head of ECE. He is serving as the Coordinator IPR Cell of the University. He conducted various training programs using Free software. He is involved in curriculum development activities for various Universities and Autonomous Colleges in India. He served as NSS coordinator. He served as Literacy Ambassador for NLM and member of various bodies in the state for the Literacy Mission. He is a member in various professional bodies like IEEE, IETE, IE, ISTE,CSI. He is an active member of SWECHA and FSMI. He is involved in research projects funded by IT&C dept., UGC, DLRL. He guided seven Research Scholars. He published more than 50 articles in Journals and Conferences. His research interests include Image Processing, Embedded Systems, Pattern Recognition, OCR, Language Modeling in Man Machine Interaction.
