Dr Bhramara has received B Tech from JNTU College of Engineering Hyderabad in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. She has obtained her doctorate from JNTU in the field of Heat Transfer in Two Phase Flows during Condensation.

Passionate about teaching and research, Dr Bhramara Panitapu works as Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, JNTUH UCESTH. Her research interests include heat transfer, nan fluids and development of energy efficient processes. She has guided 5 PhD students till date and many post graduate and graduate students. She has received research grants from several funding agencies, viz., AICTE -  RPS twice, CARS project of DRDO and TEQIP grants. She has published about 90 technical papers in the national and international journals.

Dr Bhramara Panitapu has 20 years of teaching experience and is instrumental in developing Advanced Thermodynamics Lab, Turbomachinery Lab and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Lab, in the department. Dr Bhramara has organized several national and international conferences and is involved in organizing refresher courses, training programs, workshops and webinars on a regular basis. She has delivered guest lectures on the topics of Research Methodology, computational Fluid Dynamics, Nano fluid applications in Heat transfer and Refrigeration, Heat Transfer Enhancement, Use of Online Tools in Education and Outcome Based Education.

She had previously taken the administrative responsibilities, viz., Coordinator – TEQIP II, Deputy Director of Academic Audit Cell and IQAC coordinator at college level. She had served as Training and Placement Officer for JNTUHCEH during 2020-22 and was instrumental in improving the placements in the college during 2021-22. She is also giving her services as Professor I/c of Student Affairs and has initiated several extra-curricular and co-curricular clubs in the college. At present, the clubs are actively functioning, by conducting the events periodically.

In her capacity as Professor I/C Alumni Affairs for JNTUHCEH, she has played a key role in conducting the elections for alumni association, formation of alumni association and organization of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of JNTUHCEH by closely working with the alumni. During her tenure, she worked along with Alumni Association for the development of Alumni web portal and has organized several alumni talks in collaboration with Alumni Association of JNTUHCEH. She had played a significant role in the initiation of USA chapter of Alumni Association. She has successfully organized global alumni meets and has endeavoured to improve the alumni interactions with the students and faculty. She looks forward to steady engagement activities with alumni for the benefit of existing students and faculty across all university colleges of JNTUH by strengthening the each of alumni associations and by bridging the gap between alumni and Alma mater in her present role as the Director of Alumni Affairs.
