Dr. Askani Jaya Laxmi, Professor of EEE & Director, UGC Affairs, JNTUH University College of Engineering Science & Technology, JNTUH, Hyderabad, has obtained her B.Tech., (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) from University College of Engineering, Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad, M.Tech., (Power Systems) from REC Warangal, Andhra Pradesh and Ph. D (EEE) from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering, Hyderabad.

She has guided 14 Research Scholars and many number of M.Tech., and B.Tech., Projects. She published more than 265 articles in Journals and Conferences and she has also published 1 text book on “Basic Electrical Engineering”. She has filed two patents in the fields of “Disaster Management” and “Solar Power systems”. She has carried out research projects funded by BHEL and TEQIP in the fields of Disaster management etc., She has received many awards to her credit, some of them are: Best Teacher award from JNTUH in the year 2023, Meritorious Teacher award from Higher Education Department, Government of Telangana in the year 2022, AICTE Lilavati Award from AICTE New Delhi in the year 2022, Bharat Jyothi Award from India International Friendship Society New Delhi in the year 2019, Best Women Faculty Award from Telangana Information Technology Association at Phoneix IT Business Hub, Hi-Tech City Hyderabad in the year 2019, Best paper award from 3 rd Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering Navi Mumbai in the year 2019, Outstanding Woman Educator & Scholar Award from 4 th Women’s Day Awards Ceremony Coimbatore Tamil Nadu in the year 2017, Oral/Poster presentation Award from INDICON IEEE Pune in the year 2014, Bronze Leaf Certificate from Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics and Electronics at Hyderabad in the year 2012, Best Technical Paper award from 68 th Annual General Meeting from Institution of Engineers, Telangana state in the year 2005.

Dr. Jaya Laxmi is awarded with patent for the invention on “Method and circuit for operatingOEWIM using Dual Inverter fed with Modulated Carrier based DPWM” and also a Reviewer for many Journals and Conferences. She is a Ph.D adjudicator for various universities like Osmania University, Hyderabad, Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Anna University, Chennai, K.L. University, Guntur etc., She has conducted around 25 Workshops, 12

Refresher courses, various Training programs, judge for many paper presentations and for the benefit of Faculty, Research Scholars and St`udents. She has visited various places like Greece, Dubai, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney of Australia, Canada, USA, Hongkong, Beijing of China, Malaysia, Singapore for presenting papers and as keynote speaker.
