The Directorate of UGC Affairs is created based on the recommendations of the 65 th Executive Council under item No. 65.02.04 and vide University order No. 391/2023 dated 12 th June 2023. Earlier the works were coordinated under the Directorate of Academic and Planning. After the creation of new Directorate, the University has reallocated the works among the Directorate of Academic & Planning, to meet the requirements of new campuses for smooth functioning of the University. The Directorate of UGC affairs is the brainchild of our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Katta Narasimha Reddy with a view to look into the deeper interaction with various agencies such as UGC, DST etc.,
The main aim of this Directorate is:

To study about various feasible programs related to various organisations like UGC, DST and co-ordinate with the respective Departmental heads

To support students financially with their post doctoral fellowships like Kothari fellowship, JRF’s, SRF’s and other schemes which increases the University financial resources.

To operate finances and also to monitor the schemes approved by the funding agencies on behalf of the University.
