ACTIVITIES OF UIIC, JNTUH DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023

1. One Week Finishing School on “Numerical, Quantitative Aptitude and Personality Development” has been organized in JNTUH UCES, JNTUH UCEM and JNTUH UCEJ for pre-final year students of both circuit and non-circuit branches from05-06-2023 to 10-06-2023

2. Conducted a program on “MEET THE ACHIEVER” on 06-05-2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Golden Jubilee Conference Hall, JNTUH. Dr. G. Sateesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to Rakshamantri, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India and Dr. G. L. Samuel, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras are the invitees for this program.

3. Conducted a program on “MEET THE ACHIEVER” on 15-04-2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Golden Jubilee Conference Hall, JNTUH.  Sri Ramesh Vemuganti, President, Hyderabad Management Association (International Trainer & Employee Motivator) is the invitee for this program.

4. Conducted a program “MEET THE ACHIEVER” on 04-03-2023 at 2:45 p.m. in Golden Jubilee Conference Hall, JNTUH.   Dr. K. I. Varaprasad Reddy, Founder and Chairman of ShanthaBiotechnics Ltd., and Sri Nagendra Kumar Dadi, IPS, Rtd. IGP (JNTU Alumni) are the invitees for this program.

5. Conducted a program “MEET THE ACHIEVER” on 11-02-2023 at 3:00 p.m. in Golden Jubilee Conference Hall, JNTUH.   Sri B. Venkatesham, I.A.S., Principal Secretary to Government, BC Welfare, Govt. of Telanganais the invitee for this program.

6. HR Recruiters Meet

University Industry Interaction Center, JNTUH and Blackbucks Engineers Pvt. Ltd. jointly organized HR Recruiters Meet on 10th February 2023.  Panel Discussion has been organized on ‘Role of Industry and University :: Gaps in Fresher’s Skill Set and Industry Readiness for Hiring’.  Prof. A. Govardan, Rector of JNTUH, Hyderabad, Prof. ManzoorHussian, Registrar of JNTUH participated in the panel discussion along with Mr. Kiran K, CEO, ekincare, Hyderabad,  JNTUH,  Mr. Upendra P, Delivery Head, Kyndryl, Hyderabad, Ms. Jayati P, Head HR, Keka, Hyderabad, Ms. Sreeja P, Head HR, Itsacheckmate, Hyderabad.  Mr. Emanuel G, Sr. Resource Development Manager, Epam Systems, Hyderabad acted as the moderator for the panel discussion. HRs from 54 organizations has participated in this meet.

7. Telangana Got Tech Talent (TGTT) Hackathon onTraffic Control and Management.

This Hackathon was officially launched by Prof. KattaNarasimha Reddy, Vice Chancellor on 31st October 2022. Sri D.V. SrinivasaRao, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad, Dr K VenkataRamana, Deputy Transport Commissioner, Nizamabad, Sri B C Mouli, CEO, MaqAI, Dr. K.LaxmanRao, Senior Professor of Transport Engineering, JNTUH UCEST participated as jury members and evaluated the prototype models presented by the students.  For this hackathon, a total 589 teams with 2046 students have registered from 90 different colleges across the country. In Round 1, of the selection process 71 teams were selected. In Round 2, 45 teams were selected. In Round 3, 13 teams from 10 different colleges are selected for the Final Round. This hackathon was scrutinized scrupulously in each round. First prize worth Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) goes to BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women, Second Prize worth Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand only) goes to CMR College of Engineering and Technology Third Prize worth Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) goes to G Narayanamma Institute of Technology for women. All the prize winners will be offered with internships in the areas of Machine Learning.

8. MoU with Blackbucks Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad

For creating and honing employability skills for engineering students, the University has signed an MoU with Blackbucks Engineers Pvt. Ltd. to establishing Center for Excellence in Future Technologies (CEFT) on 31st October 2022. Centre of Excellence in Future Technologies (CEFT) has been initiated by the University to provide industry oriented training in Machine Learning, Data Science, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT).

Ganesh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor IFHE, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of JNTUH, Prof. KattaNarasimha Reddy on 15th September 2022 inaugurated Industry Academia Collaboration Center (IACC).

University Industry Interaction Centre (UIIC), JNTUH, Hyderabad in association with all the Engineering branches, viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering and Chemical Engineering is organizing an International Conference on Innovations in Engineering and Technology (ICIET - 2022) as a part of Golden Jubilee celebrations of JNTU Hyderabad from 15th to 17th September 2022.

International Conference on Innovations in Engineering and Technology (ICIET-2022) during September 15-17, 2022. ICIET-2022 is inaugurated by chief guests Hon’ble Minister Sri K Taraka Rama Raogaru, minister for IT Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce Departments and Sri V. Prashanth Reddy garu, Minister of Roads, Buildings and Legislative Affairs & housing Department of Telangana, Guests of Honor Dr. B V R Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman & Board Member, CYIENT, Hyderabad, Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman TSCHE, Prof. L. S. Ganesh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor IFHE, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of JNTUH, Prof. KattaNarasimha Reddy on 15th September 2022.

ICIET-2022 consists of Pre-Conference Tutorials, Plenary Lectures, Keynote Speeches, Panel Discussion and Oral Presentations.  More than 800 papers were received from all over India and abroad.  After peer review, 354 papers were accepted for oral presentation. The selected papers are arranged into number of tracks under seven streams of Engineering, according to the technical contents of the paper. The oral presentations are overseen by 125 Session Chairs who are experts in the topics of presentations. International keynote speakers from several countries, i.e., USA, Taiwan, Australia, Sweden, Denmark, Malaysia, Singapore and UAE along with ten national keynote speakers from premier institutes of India.

11.Pre-Conference Tutorials of ICIET-2022 are organized inCivil Engineering (Challenges and Sustainability Aspects of Civil Engineering), Electrical and Electronics Engineering(Electric Vehicle – Control Strategies), Mechanical Engineering (Advances in Additive Manufacturing), Electronics and Communication Engineering (Advances in Electronics and Communication Engineering) and Computer Science and Engineering (Virtual and Augmented Reality).

ACTIVITIES OF UIIC, JNTUH DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-2022

1. A one day workshop on ‘Aptitude and Reasoning’ is organized on 23rdDecember 2021 at JNTUH College of Engineering Jagitial for all the students of 3rd and 4th year.  Mr. Anil Nair, ex-employee of Infosys and Trainer for all competitive examinations, is the resource person.

3. A one day workshop on ‘Aptitude and Reasoning’ is organized on 21stDecember 2021 at JNTUH College of Engineering Sultanpur for all the students of 3rd and 4th year.Dr. S. Tara Kalyani, Director of UIIC, Dr. J. Suresh Kumar, Deputy Director, UIIC, Dr. G. N. Srinivas, Prinicipal, JNTUHCES, Dr. G. Narsimha, Vice-Principal, JNTUHCES and Dr. V. 4. As a part of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of JNT University, Hyderabad, UIIC organized a MEGA JOB FAIR on 18th& 19th December 2021. For the inauguration of the program Hon’ble Governor of Telangana State, Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry & Hon’ble Chancellor of JNTUH, Dr. (Smt.) TamilisaiSoundararajan, graced as the Chief Guest. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy, Prof. A. Govardhan, Rector, JNTUH and Prof. M. Manzoor Hussain, Registrar, JNTUH took part in the Inaugural program.  In this event 144 companies participated and around 65000 unemployed youth registered in online to participate in the Job Fair.  Approximately 39000 candidates have been turned up on 18th December 2021 and 32000 candidates have turned up on 19th December 2021to Mega Job Fair.  From the candidates attended, about 15000 plus offers have been rolled out for different job profiles. 

5. As a part of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of JNT University, Hyderabad, UIIC organized a MEGA JOB MELA on 6th December 2021. For the inauguration of the program Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy graced as the Chief Guest, Prof. A. Govardhan, Rector, JNTUH and Prof. M. Manzoor Hussain, Registrar, JNTUH took partas the Guests of Honor.  In this event 39 companies participated and around 20000 unemployed youth registered in online to participate in the Job Mela.  Approximately 7500 candidates have been turned up to attend the face-to-face interviews.  From the candidates attended, about 2000 plus offers have been given for different roles.

6. NASSCOM Orientation Program has been organized for first batch of onboarded students on 3-12-2021 in online mode. Around 600 plus students of various constituent and affiliated colleges participated.                                                                                                            

7. As a part of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of JNT University, Hyderabad, UIIC organizedJNTUH-NASSCOM MoUExchange &Orientation program on NASSCOM FUTURESKILLS PRIME on 20th November 2021.  For this program, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy is the Chief Guest, Prof. A. Govardhan, Rector of JNTUH, Mr. Srikanth Srinivasan, Vice-President, Head – Membership & Outreach, NASSCOM, Dr. SandhyaChintala, Executive Director, NASSCOM,Ms. Sridevi Sira, National Lead – FutureSkills Academia, NASSCOM are otherdignitaries.

8. Director, UIIC and Deputy Director, UIIC have attended 'Mindtree - CXOs Connect’ on 16 November 2021.  Placement Officers from different Engineering Colleges all over India have participated in this network event.

9. UIIC, JNTUH Conducted Webinar on “Attitude, Skill and Knowledge for Employability”, for final year students of JNTUHCEM on 9th September 2021, from 2.00 pm to 5.00pm under ‘Campus to Corporate’ program.

10.UIIC, JNTUH Organized a Webinar on “Etiquette for Professional Engineers”, for final year students of JNTUHCES on 9th September 2021, from 10.00 am to 1.00pm under ‘Campus to Corporate’ program.

11.UIIC, JNTUH Conducted Webinar on “Invaluable Internships” by Mohamed Abdullah, Chief Mentor, CONDUIRA on 8th September 2021 from 3.30 to 5.00 pm for final year students of all affiliated colleges under ‘Campus to Corporate’ program.

12.UIIC, JNTUH Organized Webinar on “Inevitable Hackathons” by Ramesh Loganathan, Prof. Co-innovation/Outreach, IIIT Hyderabad on 7th September 2021, from 3.30 to 5.00pm for final year students of all affiliated colleges under ‘Campus to Corporate’ program.

13.UIIC, JNTUH Conducted Webinar on “Key Skills for Placements – Future Skills” by Mr. Vijay Banda, Senior Director of Cyber Security, QUALCOMM on 6th September 2021, from 3.30 to 5.00 pm for final year students of all affiliated colleges under ‘Campus to Corporate’ program.

14.UIIC, JNTUH has Launched a Mega Internship Fair -2021 on7th August 2021 from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm with 240 number of participants. Then panel discussion is arranged  on “Are We Bridging the Gap Right?” with the panel members as Dr. A Govardhan, Rector & Prof. of CSE, JNTU Hyderabad, Mr. Srikant Sinha, CEO - TASK, Mr. Vinay Agrawal, Vice President, Business HR-Tech Mahindra,Ms. ManishaSaboo, Associate Vice President & Delivery Head, Infosys and Mr. PrakashYallaVeera, Technology Transfer Officer & Head, IIIT, Hyderabad. The chief Guest of the event is  Mr. V. Laxmikanth, Managing Director, Broadridge(India)

15.UIIC, JNTUH conducted A Mega Internship Fair-2021 in collaboration with HYSEA and TASK on 30th July2021 with the cooperation of CONDUIRA. About 50 companies have proposed to give 800+ paid internship offers.
