Welcome to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, was established on 2nd October 1972 by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh as the first Technological University in the country. It has been in the forefront for the past 53 years in providing quality Technological Education of relevance in the State of Andhra Pradesh. After 36 years of existence, it was restructured into 4 different Universities by the Government vide Government Ordinance No.13, dated 18th August 2008 and Act of State Legislature No.30 dated September 2008 and this new University has been designated as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).

JNTUH is situated in a sprawling 89-acre campus at Kukatpally, Hyderabad. It has now 8 Constituent Engineering Colleges, one each at Hyderabad, Kondagattu (Jagithyal Dist.), Manthani, Sultanpur (Medak Dist.), Rajanna Sircilla, Wanaparthy, Mahabubabad and Palair (Khammam Rural) and two other Constituent Colleges for Pharmaceutical Sciences and Management at Sultanpur (Medak Dist.) and Hyderabad respectively. JNTUH accords affiliation to self-supporting colleges. In addition to the University Colleges of JNTUH, it has 215 Affiliated Colleges (137 Engineering, 72 Pharmacy, and 06 stand-alone MCA/MBA) spread over 33 Districts of Telangana State. The University offers B.Tech. in 24 branches. JNTUH also offers B.Tech. with Honors and Minor programs in four emerging areas. In addition to B. Tech programme, the University also offers B. Pharmacy, BBA (Data Analytics) courses, M.Tech. in 24 specializations, M. Pharmacy in 10 specializations, MCA, MBA, Pharma.D and Pharma.D (PB) programs in its Constituent and Affiliated colleges. It has more than 2.50 lakh students on rolls. Thus, JNTUH is a major University providing quality Technical Education in the State and has Memoranda of Understanding with several NaƟonal and International Organizations.
